Almond - Self Pollinating Papershell
If you buy bare rooted trees, cut them right back before planting. I planted 2 with an extensive (bare)branched structure and both never grew.

Np almonds flower in Aug if winter chill has been sufficient and there are no frost during bloom and spring to burn off the fruit. They require regular watering through summer to carry fruit to plump ripe state in February.
