This European chestnut produces large sweet nuts, the kind found sold in fruit markets. Seedlings are relatively quick to bear and are generally more hardy and quick growing than Grafted trees.

Medium to large, oval fruit. Flavor very pleasant, quality excellent. Ripens mid to late-season. The tree is upright, spreading, tall, vigorous and productive. Feijoa is also referred to as pineapple guava, which are very ornamental with attractive red flowers in spring.
