Horseradish is famous for its spicy roots. It has a hot biting taste with a hint of sweetness. The plant is a hardy perennial herb that will grow rampantly under most condition except full shade and in wet ground. It is best controlled by growing in a container. Roots will keep in the ground throughout winter and can be harvested as required. They are an excellent source of sulfur.
