Most common variety grown due to its excellent quality fruit. This selection is seed grown from selected quality fruit. Bowens are naturally polyembryonic hence are virtually true to type from seed. Cropping begins in 3-4years, with identical fruit quality to grafted trees.
Popularity: 1 Blueberry - Powderblue
One of the toughest blueberry varieties. It is a late season variety that may be planted with Tifblue for good cross-pollination. It can be mechanically harvested for fresh fruit, and the fruit has a very attractive pale blue colour, is medium in firmness and medium in size.

A spectacular plant for large gardens, parks or as a street tree. Bright green, shiny, palmate shaped leaves with red bell-shaped flowers. Flowers best after a hot dry summer. Tolerant of most soil types and positions.

Long red berries, maturing from Late November onwards. When fully ripe the fruit is very sweet and juicy with an unusual slightly acid taste. This is a smaller tree with very good crops. Annual pruning is required as fruit is produced on new seasons growth.
