Blueberry - Biloxi
The variety Biloxi was developed as a pollinator for Misty in Mississippi, for early season areas. One of the parents of this variety is Sharpeblue. In early trial plantings on the North Coast, it has fruited well with large medium flavoured berries early, but the fruit size drops off towards the end of the season. The fruit is light blue, with a mottled bloom appearance. It is of average flavour, with a medium scar and firm fruit. So far, in trial plantings, Biloxi has a habit of producing late spring flowering and a second harvest, during January and February.

An attractive tree with dark glossy leaves and a dense crown. As a name suggests it prefers wet areas in rainforests such as creekbanks. Water Gum provides food for the blue triangle butterfly. Fruiting occurs in Autumn.

Attractive rainforest pine that bears greenish seeds on swollen edible stalks. The purple fruit are grape like with a sweet juicy pulp with a subtle plum flavour. The slightly resinous fruit can be used for both sweet and savoury recipes. It is an attractive hedge due to its contrasting dark and lime green foliage. The timber is popular as a cabinet making.

This tall tree is often found on the edge of rainforests. It has soft, fibrous, orange bark and a dense crown. Tallowwood is so named due to the greasy feel of the wood when cut, and is a known koala feed tree.
