Giant Lau Lau

The stunning fruit is bright red and crisp apple like flavour, although some can be a little insipid.  If you have some space in a frost free garden this tree will be a treasure. Even though tropical it grows and fruits well in the North Coast NSW. With adequate water it grows at a rapid rate reaching up to 6-7m.  Not suitable for temperate climates.

A tall growing deciduous tree with maidenhair like foliage. The foliage colours golden yellow in Autumn. The female tree bears a plum-like cone with an ill smelling flesh, but the kernel is edible and sweet. Slow growing and require good soil and plenty of water during summer.

A seedling of the Hawain Supreme commercial variety. Fruit is large, yellow skinned and pink fleshed fruit. Very hardy prolific cropper. Can be eaten fresh or juiced. Can be pruned to keep compact.
