Mulberry - Dwarf Red Shahtoot

Much more compact in growth habit than the King White. These delicious sweet fruits can reach 10cm in length. Ideal for back yards and we consider it a must have fruit tree for the back yard. Will grow in most regions of Australia. The best way to eat mulberries is fresh from the tree but if some should make it to the kitchen bench they make excellent pies, jams, wines and sauces. Large sweet fruit can reach up to 10cm in length. It is delicious eaten fresh but can also be sundried and eaten as a sweet. Medium sized spreading tree with a weeping habit, excellent shade tree. A primocane variety producing fruit on canes that arise from the ground during one season. Often referred to as low chill since canes do not need chilling to produce flowers. A most sought after variety as it fruits in Autumn thus extending the traditional fruiting period. It has a picking period of 8 - 12 weeks beginning in February.

Giant Lau Lau

The stunning fruit is bright red and crisp apple like flavour, although some can be a little insipid.  If you have some space in a frost free garden this tree will be a treasure. Even though tropical it grows and fruits well in the North Coast NSW. With adequate water it grows at a rapid rate reaching up to 6-7m.  Not suitable for temperate climates.
