The jaboticabas habit of producing the fruit directly on the trunk makes this a striking tree. Fruit is similar to a grape with a sweet and aromatic flavour. The new coppery growth makes it a very ornamental tree. Bears heavy crops of quality fruit that can be eaten fresh from the tree.

Fruit look like potatoes but have light brown soft very sweet flesh. Flesh is sometimes gritty and contains black seeds. Ripe fruit taste like sweetened cooked pear. Very hardy Subtropical fruit tree.

Seedless variety, maturing later than all other navels, usually mid July through to October. Thin smooth rind. The fruits are similar to the Washington but they are picked a couple of months later in the season.
