Noted because the fruit has a powdery blush and is medium in size. It is one of the toughest blueberry varieties with a harvest later in the season. A bigger harvest can be achieved by mixing with other varieties such as the tifblue or others will suit. A great selection for QLD and northern NSW as they don't need many chill hours for the fruit to set. Often the white flowers have a flush of pink. Grows well in pots and has thick enough foliage to be used as a hedge in summer but lets the light through in winter.
Popularity: 1 Curry Tree
Fresh leaves from this tree are an indispensable ingredient in Indian cooking. The leaves are pretty much unknown in the West because they lose most of their flavour when dried. They have a distinct, spicy curry-like flavour and odour.
Popularity: 1 Lime - Kaffir
Native to Indonesia but widely grown worldwide as a backyard shrub for its aromatic leaves that add a unique flavour to Thai cooking. Well suited to container growing. The rough bumpy fruit is inedible but its oil has strong insecticidal properties.
Popularity: 1 Mushroom Plant
This low growing perenial herb gets its name from the mushroomy flavoured leaves. The leaves and stems are eaten raw in salads or they can be cooked as a green vegatable in stir fries.
