a tree or shrub to grow in a two dimensional plane.

Hi I am looking for suggestions to have some fruit trees to grow as a hedge which can be grown in a two dimensional plane in front along fence. eventually a privacy fence cum fruit trees.

any recommendation?

What height and width. I have rose apple, surinam cherry, sandpaper fig, dwarf fig, fig, natal plum, pomegranate, compact irish strawberry, all with foliage up to 3m in front of a 2m timber fence. The fence is painted black. There are a few flowers for bees and a thicket of yellow florist chrysanthemums, which excludes weeds.

A farmer in northern nsw grows his white and yellow nectarines very successfully in a 2 dimensional plane, like a fan. They are under bird netting though
