Lukeeyoh starts with ... Hi, Im looking to espalier some citrus trees. Do you have any advanced Dwarf varieties? Lemon,Orange, mandarin and limes? Also it will be a 7 foot high frame. Would any of the Mulberry trees be suited to espaliering to this height? Maybe once again a dwarf variety..kind Regards Luke | About the Author Lukeeyoh Beenleigh 2nd April 2015 10:36am #UserID: 11559 Posts: 1 View All Lukeeyoh's Edible Fruit Trees |
allybanana says... For advise abuot stock avalability contact Daleys Nursry or check the catalog as this is a forum answered primaraly by people outside the Nusury. The dwarf black may be an option or the Dwark Red. The Dwarf black is still quite vigerouse but for mulberries I find if you prune them twice a year they are easy to keep small. The first prune after the first crop and the the second prune in autumn to alow sun in to fatten the fruiting buds in the trees core. I do this at a time when reshooting is minimal but the leaves are still healthy. Another option may be the English Black as they grow slower but taste the best. | About the Author allybanana EDEN, NSW 15th May 2015 12:43pm #UserID: 4544 Posts: 372 View All allybanana's Edible Fruit Trees |
