Mort starts with ...
I have a apple cactus, peruvianus cereus?,and I read it needs cross pollination. Does this mean I need another variety of this species for pollination or can I grow another of the same variety close by?

Another of the same species should be fine, just not a clone grown from your plant or the same parent as yours as they are all still effectively the same plant genetically.
