Its not usually advisable because of the variation that can occur when grown from seed, as opposed to a grafted specimen. Also, it would take much longer to fruit, as a rule.

Thks Leona, I wondered if this was possible as we had had 2 different peach trees that I know were grown from stones and had wonderful peaches,but that was at our last home.
