Chris starts with ... Finally found a pineapple that is consistently worth eating. Not your typical green and acidic stuff. Nice and sweet and low acid. 15 years in the making and bred here. They are all sold topless. http://www.daff.qld.gov.au/plants/fruit-and-vegetables/fruit-and-nuts/pineapples/aus-jubilee-pineapple | About the Author Chris Sydney 11th October 2014 12:04pm #UserID: 2281 Posts: 263 View All Chris 's Edible Fruit Trees |

JohnMc1 says... I'm thinking they remove the tops for more than the purposes of propagation. If you're diligent enough, you will eventually find a topless pineapple fruit with a small growth node that can be removed and propagated in the usual way. I am growing several this way but will keep an eye out for this beauty. I now only wish I'd kept the labels, the most popular topless variety sold here is Mareeba Gold. | About the Author JohnMc1 Warnervale NSW 13th October 2014 6:58am #UserID: 2743 Posts: 2043 View All JohnMc1's Edible Fruit Trees |
