davewastech starts with ... Hi guys, I'm considering to buy an avo tree for my Sydney garden. A smaller tree would be better, so I've been mainly considering Lamb Hass or Wurtz, although I haven't actually tried eating these varieties. I'm concerned about Qld fruit fly. What has been your experience of growing avos in the Qld fruit fly zone. Or any other recommendations? davewastech says... Thanks Julie, When I used to live in Perth I had a Hass Avo, and yep, the Mediterranean fruit fly that you have in WA didn't affect it. But now I'm living in Sydney and I have read something somewhere about Qld fruit fly being more of a problem for avos(?) So anybody in the Qld fruit fly zone have problems? | About the Author davewastech WILLOUGHBY EAST,2068,NSW 3rd July 2016 9:12pm #UserID: 7097 Posts: 115 View All davewastech's Edible Fruit Trees |
