ErinSell starts with ... We had an unlucky start to our fruit tree saga: We planted 2 avocado a few years ago, right before the huge floods and they got water bound and died. We planted a mango that was going great until our kids watched peppa pig and shook the mango like they did to the apple tree on the show! After 6 years growing it went into shock and died. We are ready to try again. I am ordering a mango and a fuerte avocado. Hubby is reluctant to get any more avocados so is only allowing one lol. Will it self pollinate? I plan to add another later once this has established? And what is the best ground preparation for success? We are in the south Brisbane (Greenbank) area. | About the Author ErinSell New brith QLD 15th August 2015 5:35pm #UserID: 12206 Posts: 1 View All ErinSell's Edible Fruit Trees |
Tommoz says... Yes, all avocadoes are self-fertile, although the A types are better for self-pollination.
