Markmelb says... Youve done well gettng it to there in Romania - did you have inside over last winter and planted it in spring in ground - please dont expect it to get thru next winter in ground unless you put in pot and bring inside? i know it gets snow where you are and Avos wont survive that for long.Melbourne is at 37.8136°S and Avocados will grow ok but slower here than up North 1000km - my plants rarely get a frost and most night temps are above 5c - lately this winter day temps have been about 12 - 14c - even if you can get it to survive seedlings may take 8 to 15 years to fruit. | About the Author Markmelb MT WAVERLEY,3149,VIC 5th July 2015 10:00pm #UserID: 7785 Posts: 1192 View All Markmelb's Edible Fruit Trees |

Markmelb says... OK - I undestand now its one plant first was real close up - the potting mix looks like soil/dirt from ground - How long does a good watering take to drain? It should run through like a seive for Avos.Avos love mulch too. Lots of info on YouTube. Avos dont mind wet roots in summer (watering 2 times a day with good drainage)but keep dry when temps get below 15C as root rot occurs quite fast with avos - in Queensland 3 or more days of flooded roots can start phytophera fungous damage. Enjoy yours as long as you can and keep us posted. | About the Author Markmelb MT WAVERLEY,3149,VIC 6th July 2015 8:09am #UserID: 7785 Posts: 1192 View All Markmelb's Edible Fruit Trees |
