Bananas Cavendish

    0 responses

Mike GB starts with ...
I have grown bananas for the first time two years ago and was rewarded with what we feel was a nice bunch of fruit as seen in the first attached image. Noticed that all the bananas were tightly grouped together which as far as I can see was the norm.
My second tree which was a sucker from our first success has only recently flowered and formed its bunches of fruit but appear to be sticking out in their bunches with space between each piece. The fruit still looks fine and there is a lot on each hand.
This is quite different to our first bunch and wanted to know if there is some thing missing in it's diet or just a once off? Also lots of ants. Should this be of concern?
