Best Avocados for Brisbane (subtropics)

I'm wanting to grow 3 avocados in Brisbane and am wanting to keep them pruned to about 3-4m. Just wondering what three varieties would be best suited? I've heard there are type 'A' and 'B' avocados too. Do I need to choose an avocado from both categories?

For cross pollination it is advisable to pick one of A and B in the group. Pinkerton grows well for me. Reed, Lamb Hass, Secondo, Wurtz and Hazzard also all do well. Lamb Hass crops heavily and so doesn't grow particularly vigorously. Pinkerton stays small. Hazzard also seems to stay fairly small. Wurtz is a 'dwarf'. Many can be trained to stay around 3-4m.
