Hey Gary, first up, I reckon the Biolytix system is first rate, but what happens if it is not serviced? My daughter and son-in-law had one installed a few years ago and to my knowledge no servicing has ever been done ... seems to be working fine though.

he he...nah - gone off that idea mate. Kiya - one way to see if it's working is to pop the lid and have a look. If it doesn't look like a septic tank then all is well.
When mine failed I had some warning signs - my drains in the house became quite smelly.....

Thanks Amanda. They haven't had any problems ... no smell, no backup ... so
all is well. I reckon the cleared water could be put to better use than they have though. Seems they were required to pipe it well away from anything. Surely it could be used in the orchard and the 'pretty' garden if not in the vege patch? I reckon I'd be inclined to divert it to
put it to good use.

That's odd Kiya - I haven't heard of anyone having to pipe it away from gardens b4. Mine goes to the orchard, and everyone I know has theirs going to trees etc (veg gardens not "allowed")

Sounds like they may have had some dud advice/installer....? (but it might be a problem with their particular block or something like that) They should seek a second opinion.

The systems are designed to be serviced once a year, this is so the council report can be done and it allows the Tech to diagnose any issue's that may arise due to the way the system is being used,

Hi J. Grass would be ok but I don't think a tree is a good idea...as it grows it's roots may end up pushing down on the pipe and causing problems...

This happened to a friends phone line and it had to be re-layed etc. It's possible the roots my even invade the pipe if there was any humidity in it (from the tank) Did u see how deep it was buried? Mine was deep enuf' to avoid grass roots...
Might be a bit risky?

Thank you, Amanda
I thought so too.
I guess I have to have a look how deep the pipes are. Where pipes are is where I'd like to plant Lilly Pilly or something that can make good screen to the next door so, otherwise I have to move the pipes.

Do anybody know if there are any company or someone who I can ask more technical thing like if I can move the pipe to slope(not too steep) or have to be level?

Thank you all
