Hi,
Can you tell me whether the calamondin and the cumquats are the same variety? What is the difference between the calamondin and the Nagami cumquat?
Thanks
Anne

Hi Anne, the calamondins are round and look like mini mandarins when mature. They are sour and more suited for marmalade. They are hardy and easy to grow (see tree in pic). The Nagami kumquats have sweet skins so you can eat them whole though the centre is sour. They are oval like olives. They are slower growing than calamondins in my garden in Sydney.
