Hi. I have a friend who is relocating to a new property with an established neem tree and was wondering whether orchids etc could be successfully be grown on the branches and other plants below the canopy? I guess the concern is whether the tree will exude chemicals that will prevent other plants succeeding beneath them.

As I recall reading, the Neem tree in India has a positive benefit on other plants grown nearby, ie protects from insects, fungus etc.
