Capsicum pubescens

Has anyone any experience with pruning Capsicum pubescens for overwintering in a conservatory? They are absolutely massive plants, especially the spread.

I've never pruned them going into winter, but I've pruned the hell out of them coming into Spring. Can you just prune enough off to manage the tree through winter and hit it hard next spring? You can strike the cuttings for more plants too.
