wombatwarrior starts with ...
wish to eradicate false cardamom hedge. have tried cutting back to ground level and then spraying raw stems, but it re-sprouts. Cannot use mattock, I'm elderly, backhoe too expensive to hire. Can you suggest a way to eradicate this very invasive plant please?

ww, you have done it back to front! I don't know what you sprayed it with, but if it was glyphosate you need to have as many leaves as possible.

Let it regrow with plenty of leaves, then spray again, More effective that way, as it works through the leaves and gets taken down to the roots.
