Manfred says... They're such a willing weed in the tropics that I'd be confident to give them a go. Get Trikus to send you some. (Though I did give my brother near Nowra a couple this past winter and the frost wiped them out without a trace. Unusual -3 degrees, but with global warming, who knows what might happen.) | About the Author Manfred tully 17th December 2015 6:34pm #UserID: 9565 Posts: 243 View All Manfred's Edible Fruit Trees |

BuildFlex1 says... Thanks Manfred. I'll think I'll give them a go. It's a little more temperate here in Somersby than at Nowra which is much further south, and we don't seem to get frosts - so far (only been here for 2 winters). Having said that, we can get very cold winds for days on end, so I would probably protect them with some mini greenhouse wraps for a few years at least. Not sure about this climate change thing. There's apparently far more Arctic and Antarctic ice than there's ever been, and the supposed global warming is seeming to make things very cold. :) | About the Author BuildFlex1 SOMERSBY,2250,NSW 18th December 2015 10:28am #UserID: 12852 Posts: 2 View All BuildFlex1's Edible Fruit Trees |

Markmelb says... I hope oneday we can grow coconuts and mangosteens in Melbourne very soon? If you could grow them in a month then we would succeed this weekend :) I think global warming issues was invented by the wealthy to become super wealthy - those same cretins will TAX AIR next - I think the countries who did all the pollution in the 1800s industrial revolutions should be fined and made to pay global restitution - Tobacco companies also - Australias part was extremely minor due to small population - and China? dont get me started? They are still in 1800s! Us little people shouldnt have to pay - be interesting to know who actually owns the worlds debt? | About the Author Markmelb MOUNT WAVERLEY,3149,VIC 18th December 2015 8:18pm #UserID: 7785 Posts: 1192 View All Markmelb's Edible Fruit Trees |
