Caterpillar eating my fig

puffd starts with ...
A small green caterpillar seems to eating my Brown turkey Fig in a pot.. It is stripping the leaves to a skeleton and some leaves are turning yellow.. It was a present and don't want it to die..Anyone know how to rid the tree of the caterpillar?

Rather than using white oil, I'd try an organic garlic chilli spray first. You can make your own, but it is easier just to buy some. Chances are it will deter the grazing pillars.

Fig beetles and their larvae are a major problem. You can knock them into a bucket of water, but spinosad gets them. White oil doesn't seem to worry them much, they just bail off the leaves, only to return when you leave.

So i have sprayed my my fig with an home made chilli spray and i white oil and the pillars still seem to return? The plant isn't looking to healthy should i transplant it into a new pot? I have heard a horse radish spray works?

The figs are about to go dormant, puffd, so they will be bare in no time if not already so don't stress if they are not looking their best. What is the size of the pot it is in and how big is it? Figs don't mind being confined and are happy to be pruned.
