My orange & mandarin have slowly got less and less fruit over the past 3 yrs.
Last season the mandarin had only 3 the orange tree non.
What can I do to get them to fruit again.

My first thoughts would be, how does the foilage look? Are the leaves nice and green during fruiting season?
If the tree is being well looked after I would suggest some Sulphate of Potash to get the tree flowering nicely prior to fruiting.

Thank you Jason, I will try the Potash.
The foilage is nice and green. We have also removed a couple of native trees that were shading the fruit trees. Hopefully this will also help.

Good move on getting them more sun if they were shaded. I found that my Apple trees and Nectarines were starting to flower a little while back just with a few weeks of nice sunshine.
Pruned them off as completely the wrong time of year. But some nice sunshine plays a vital role.

After the fruit has finished I would try pruning 20-30% of the folliage off.
If you are sceptical then maybe only do this to half the tree.
We did this to our mandarin and it worked absolute wonders.

Correy, do you think this would work for a cumquat? And would now be a good time? I've had no fruit for 3-4 years, though it used to be prolific.
I get fed up with watering and feeding things with no result!
