denise1 says... I have found clove to be a bit tropical in requirements. I think allspice (Pimenta dioica) is a bit hardier and the leaves taste the same as the cloves fruit. You will probably still need a greenhouse to grow it in. Male and female flowers of allspice occur on separate trees. You dont know what the seedlings will be until they flower.
