Tommoz says... If there is no graft, perhaps it a tree grown from seed. The fruit is no good. You can still use a well established tree like this as it will have nice roots developed. Simply lop off most of the growth (but leave a small nurse branch) and stick scions of desireable cultivars into the cambium of the main trunk.
