cocktail tree's

Today i checked my experiment, 4 months ago i grafted a tiny thin fingerlime branche of 2mm thick onto my pomelo tree.

Today i noticed that it's growing!

Also the tahiti-lime which i grafted on it even has 3 fruits now.
The navel orange scions are also growing well.

The pomelo on the pic is about 6 months old and it's pomelo tabtim siam, a red one.
The first pomelo's had loads of huge seeds but the one i ate yesterday had very small seeds and not many. I wonder how that's possible, i did handpollinate all of them.

I like it now and will graft more fingerlimes on it. The tree is in a pot in full sun all day. So far i had 5 pomelo's from it and they get better all the time.

Sorry for the bad pics, you can't see the fingerlime leaves coming throught the parafilm because they are tiny but believe me they are growing!

This tree made me happy again!

So the tahiti lime has 2 limes on it who don't drop and it also made new flowers. The whole graft is just less than 20 cm tall.

But now the navel orange which is 10 cm tall also made flowers!

I wonder how long it takes before the fingerlime graft starts blooming.
It only has sidebranches of 2cm maximum.

I guess it will be within a year, we will see.

But also the pomelo's get better all the time. First ones were not so sweet and had loads of big pits.

After a year they became sweeter and had tiny pits.

The navel orange also had many huge pits when it was on it's own rootstock. I hope they also get better soon. But a real navel orange from Spain is the summum, if i can grow those then i don't need anymore pomelo's.

The cocktail citrustree amazed me again.

The fingerlime-graft didn't do well, last week it had only 2 tiny leaves left, the rest all died.

Today i checked the tree again and this is what i saw, couldn't believe it!

This has grown in 4-5 days!
