Curry Tree Murraya koenigii Sorry this is the curry tree that I was told is a weed is it or not??
Is it a slow grower and where is the best place to plant it??

I'm going to say yes, it's a weed. They grow feral all over the place here Brisbane, and I can;t see why they wouldn't do the same in Mackay. In fact they'll probably go even more rampant in mackay.

It has weed potential in Cairns and since you are half way between Cairns and Briz it will be the same.Heavily pruned short trees produce fewer fruit.The root suckers however can be hard to control.

These grow very well in a pot. They can still escape via fruit, but this is much easier to keep under control. Mine is going very well in nearly full shade in a pot, so it's quite a useful plant for a shady corner.

Yeah, they are good to grow in a spot where they can be contained and where they are pretty much in your way so you remember to keep them in-check.
