It has weed potential in Cairns and since you are half way between Cairns and Briz it will be the same.Heavily pruned short trees produce fewer fruit.The root suckers however can be hard to control. Diana says... These grow very well in a pot. They can still escape via fruit, but this is much easier to keep under control. Mine is going very well in nearly full shade in a pot, so it's quite a useful plant for a shady corner. The poster formerly known as... says... Yeah, they are good to grow in a spot where they can be contained and where they are pretty much in your way so you remember to keep them in-check.
