wintershade starts with ... i'm in far north coast nsw, inland near minyon falls. i'm wanting to plant a set of 3 citrus in an existing bed. BUT the bed has full sun in summer but is shaded from direct sun most of the day in winter. will citrus do well in that location? if so, which ones will handle that site - wanting lime and 2 other different citrus. if not, can you recommend 3 fruit trees that will handle that situation pls. | About the Author wintershade dorroughby 23rd April 2015 11:17am #UserID: 4831 Posts: 11 View All wintershade's Edible Fruit Trees |
Diego says... I am guessing the citrus would survive but as you are aware the situation is not ideal. One obvious solution is to plant deciduous trees that don't need sun in winter. I can't recommend any particular varieties but no doubt you have a wide choice of deciduous fruit trees that will grow in your area.
