Does anybody know what sort of tree this is?

Hi,, i know its a very common tree in my area of the south coast.. they look great around this time of the year and tend to flourish when facing north where i live....

Would like to buy a couple but need to know what they are called...

That is a deciduous Magnolia. They have been extensively bred, so there are a plethora of different varieties to choose from, varying in colour from plain white to a magenta red/pink.
