sternus1 says... Well, no--if you mean that by pruning it that this will alter the growing habits of the tree resulting in a dwarf cv, at the genetic level, then no. That would be lamarckism, or something close. If you mean can you keep it pruned to a small size and have it bear fruit, the answer is yes. Just be aware that mulberry has a pretty invasive root system--don't put it near pipes or power, and make sure you think about where you want it. Once they get established they are close to being unkillable. https://www.google.com.au/search?newwindow=1&client=firefox-a&hs=jaG&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=np&q=lamarckism&spell=1&sa=X&ei=ZpQfVMHpAsql8AWdrIC4Bg&ved=0CBsQBSgA&biw=911&bih=447 | About the Author sternus1 Australia 22nd September 2014 1:19pm #UserID: 8314 Posts: 1318 View All sternus1's Edible Fruit Trees |

I have this one http://www.daleysfruit.com.au/fruit%20pages/Dwarf-Mulberry-Black.htm You would probably have to email Daleys to ask about the specifics of the plant. | About the Author Waterfall Waterfall 1st October 2014 4:35pm #UserID: 10026 Posts: 422 View All Waterfall's Edible Fruit Trees |
