Edible creeper on the south side of a fence

Hi
I am trying to find an edible, lush evergreen creeper for the south side of a fence in Melbourne. It does get lots of direct sun in the middle of summer but generally is shaded. Any tips?
I can only think of passionfruit.

I can't think of any edible vines but a feijoa hedge would be nice.

Also they wont get burnt in summer ? The azimuth means no sun for most of the year then a serious blast when it is hot.
A pretty rough environment for plant selection!

It certainly is! The only thing I can suggest, if it's even possible, is to grow something on the west side so it will shade the fence. Then you have more choice of shade-loving plants.

That's what I did with my south-facing wall.

Bear in mind the south side of a fence will still be blasted with full sun during summer.
