Yes they would suit your climate and also suit pots. If you can always a good idea to get 2 different varieties and grafted varieties are always going to be a much better option especially in pots. But you could get 1 grafted variety like the Feijoa Unique

they crop much better when 2 different varieties are flowering at the same time for cross pollination otherwise they still may set fruit however the crop would not be as big.
