Hi Manda, no word on the Rare Fruit Tree Co yet.
I tried a small nursery for purple mangosteen and rollina and was told the reason they are not available in Perth is because it is too cold. Will just have to buy mangosteen from the supermarket.

Oh thanks Stella for the update re: Rare Fruit and info you found about mangosteen and rollinia. Still it is ashame about Rollinia and purple mangosteen - with some babying it could probably grow.

Hey Stella, I grow many of these surposable trees that dont grow in SA, here. Unless you try you wont know. Dont take the book worms at there word. Go for it. I know you you should get a Rolina to grow. I have one one the west coast. Its growing like the clappers. hehehe I did lose my first attempt. Also try starapples, star fruits, choco fruit, white sapotes, mangoes, pitayas, longans, etc all these will grow. most will fruit. Either way there bueatiful trees to look at.

Manda, Have you been to Lena's? If not, go and have a chat to the guy who does the ordering and see if he is getting any. Joe from Tass trees may also get some if you put in an order. I think if we want to try something, we should be able to buy it. It is our fault if it doesn't grow and the suppliers shouldn't worry about whether it grows or not as long as they advise us, they are doing their job.

Shaun - not sure how to link different link or threads but if you do a forum searxch for nurseries in Perth - there is info that i found about the Rare Fruit Co... However not sure whether they were still around or what their reputation is like.
Stella - i agree we should be able to get what we want. I know with Rollinia Daleys won't send it over here due to quarrantine restrictions
