JohnMc1 says... I think it's closed or he isn't selling anything atm. Starling, would you send me yr personal addy, I have some gac seeds. Oh, thank you for that rare opuntia, have you seen or tried the fruit? I'm going to keep it in the polyhouse to get some quick growth happening before I plant it out. | About the Author JohnMc1 Warnervale NSW 16th October 2014 10:41am #UserID: 2743 Posts: 2043 View All JohnMc1's Edible Fruit Trees |
starling says... Had one fruit last year John, wasn't full sized but was a LOT better than the garden variety Opuntia--rotund shape, very unusual colouring that is a combination between red and purple..hard to describe. My guess is that reduced the color would be very dark purple. Very deep flavor--rich. I'm hoping to get some decent sized fruits this year and will make syrup from them. Not sure if you've ever had prickly pear syrup but it is really something else. Might be the best tasting topping on Earth. You can also use it the way you use cordial concentrate. | About the Author starling Queensland 16th October 2014 11:44am #UserID: 10655 Posts: 4 View All starling's Edible Fruit Trees |
