Mike Tr says...
There are quite a number of native fruit flies that attack native fruits and a few exotic fruits and presumably the couple of introduced fruit flies that may attack some native fruit as well.

Unfortunately they're all just setting fruit right now, so it'll be a while yet.
Don't know about longevity of seeds.
Have one fruiting plant excess to needs, 15lt container, and 10 small seedlings, if needed.

With those no, seems to be less of a problem in full a/n sun, full west.
Mostly affects , sporadically , couple on south fence, less sun.
But routine copper spraying helps, especially when humid and rainy weather.

Yep I'd like to have a go then, hang on to one for me if you can. I've got some things on the way ( some of the better E------) which I can swap for it assuming they get through the green curtain. I'll drop you an email when I have more news.

It's interesting to see that Ive's Cedar Cherries still have green leaves as mine have all turned red.

Maybe it's warmer there or they are kept under shelter. I am growing them outside with no protection and the cold winter this year has turned the leaves deep orange and red as it also has with the guavas.

Over Summer the Cedar Bay Cherries produce flushes of bright lime green foliage but I have yet to see any fruit.

Tend to have only the new leaves having a redish ting.
Those in my picture are youngsters, had green all though our cold weather, last berry flush stuck any berry that had one seed which was also small into a pot. Just experimenting.
They fruited year or two after I got mine from Daley's.
