Hi Daleys Forum
I need a bit advice on growing Gooseberry Captivators I live in Kalbarri Western Australia. I know they like cold winters and with me living in Kalbarri our winters might not get down low enough for them. I was wondering if I could help them out in some way for our climate over here. And last of all what type of soil do they like growing in. Thankyou

What are/is gooseberry captivators? Is that a variety?

I live in the hills about 30-35 ks from Perth, which gets pretty damn cold at night in winter. Still not cold enough for gooseberries though. I don't fancy your chances in Kalbarri.

Edit: OK, just Googled it. Not available in Tas or WA.

They are a mediumish red fruited thornless gooseberry. I believe they like a decent, slightly acid loam. Gooseberries are a great fruit if you can grow them, though they need a bit of chill ☺
