Hi fruit lovers at the moment I currently have fig, papaya, mulberry, navel orange, eureka and lemonade lemons, kafir lime chocolate sapote, cold hardy cherimoya Lol I am blessed with a huge backyard :) the main point is as a fruit lover I have been eyeing of the soursop just wondering is anyone growing one in a frost free temperate area? Or what does anyone think should I go for it or are the any other varieties of soursop worth trying? What else is anyone growing in frost free temperate areas? Thanks so much:)

The consensus is, Soursop won't fruit this far south. I have a 4yo seedling and 3-4yo grafted variety growing in frost free ground here, just north of Wyong. I don't have any expectations of ever getting any fruit. They will probably just survive as an ornamental.
Saying that, A newly found friend sent me some Mountain Soursop seeds that have germinated and are growing fantastically. Being more cold hardy, I have hopes of them maybe one day bearing fruit.

I'll bet that if the soursop is growing then it'll also flower and also fruit. The only problem with all these things is how long will it take to ripen and will it ever ripen properly.. : ) Also the seeds maybe infertile if it wont ripen all the way. But I bet you get close if it's growing at all

Yes, Fl myles, I'm still sorting what grows well and what doesn't. I've changed my tack over the last 4-6 years. I was mainly into citrus and deciduous stuff since forever, but since discovering this forum, I think I've bought just about everything Daley's has had to offer. Just ordered four new Blueberry plants, a Satsuma mandarin and a couple of supersweet passionfruit plants, it never ends, I'm clearing more and more land to fit in newcomers.
