Hi!
Could anyone please help with a solution?
All the newly grown leaves at the tip of this young plant appear to change from very tender green to brown or black and end up dropping down. Some of the earlier attacked leaves did not drop but got partially black and eaten away on the edge. Please see picture attached.
Thank you in advance for your help.

That is either heat damage from a lack of moisture, try adding some shade over new growth.

If that doesn't stop or you notice yellowing of leaves with that sort of burn, it could be trace elements issue, one of my Indian guavas had a similar burn to that, and it was either salinity, lack of watering and high heat combined or trace elements.

I gave it some trace elements and a decent watering and the new foliage improved by quite a lot, grew quickly too.

Thank Peter91
We have adopted similar advice previously offered by Allybanana.
We have moved the potted plant to a more shaded place and make sure that its adequately moist.
The improvement is obvious!
Thank you.

Sorry Allybanana for our mistake!
Only today, when we were replying to Peter91, we realised that our reply to you, on Monday, has not been sent.
As we referred to in our post to Peter91 we have followed the advice previously sent by you and the improvement on the plant is obvious.
Thank you.
