Kensington Pride Mango Tree

Hi all. I have some concerns about growing a Kensington Pride Mango Tree in a suburban back yard. Can anyone tell me how large the root system of such a tree might be and what problems it might cause in floating house foundations.

Hello Roger
You do need a fair amount of room as you can understand by looking at the trees growing around Brisbane. Although they have a tap root they are surface feeders and the roots extend to the drip line and will easily bust a concrete path.
Just the same, you don't want them over hanging you roof as they are messy blighters.

Hi Wayne,
How about grafted one? Is it same case if grown in Melbourne?
If so, how far should be from a wall?
thanks
