Kiwi fruit flowering (forum)

Anne starts with ...
We have 2 female kiwi fruit vines and 1 male which have been in for 5 years now. The male plant is flowering beautifully now but there are no signs at all of the females flowering. If and when they do it will be all over as far as the male is concerned and no fertilisation will occur.
Any ideas as to why?
