kiwi/kiwiberry- NNSW/SEQLD

Has anyone ever fruited either of these in frost free regions of the gold coast or northern NSW? And if so what varieties worked. The chill here is low but my wife is (very) keen on kiwi's. As far as chill here- Soursop, Mamey sapote, Jackfruit seedlings and abiu have survived the last 2 winters with little or no damage at our place, but sunraycer and angel subtropical peach broke bud and set fruit fine. Sunset peach/nectarine leafed out well but failed to set, might still be to young. My standard dwarf peach seemed to have some low chill injury as it didn't leaf out until well after the others and even then leaf out was uneven and blooming patchy. Low chill apples break dormancy fine as do persimmons. Nashi seem to break quite late. All subtropicals fair well (acerola, any eugenia, canistel/black sapote, mango, wax jambu, mulberry, rollinia). Sorry for the long winded post but I will get brownie points for planting something she likes, but don't want to have to tend a vigorous vine for years and never get fruit.

Rob,

my pair of issai flowered this year, but didn't hold fruit. I did keep water and fertz up to them so don't know what they deal is. They are about 18 months old.

Full sun seems to wreck them, but they'll try o grow into into it anyway.
