brett rogers starts with ...
i hve a longan tree which has shot up to about 4meters and is now flowering by the looks but is obv too high to pick ...if i cut the tree off a little will it still grow ....same predicament with Papayas.. 1 boy and 1 girl ??? i hope these aint silly questions.

Longans are fairly large trees, growing to about 7m, there will always be some fruit out of reach. Maybe you could invest in a good ladder. You can cut the top out of paypaya trees, put a tin over the cut to avoid the trunk filling with water and rotting out on you. They will reshoot lower down the trunk. A tin nailed onto the end of a long stick can be useful to pick fruit that is out of reach.
