I am going to try your techniques of grafting mango in Florida. I ahve question concerning tape you use. What kind of tape is it? Is it a self adhesive? Do you wrap it very tight?
University of Florida video uses stretchable tape and they recommend wrapping as tight as you can.
I will appreciate your response by e-mail.
Thank You.

We use florist tape - it's strong (if you double it over)and a little bit stretchy, and similar to plumber's tape. See what you can find. It also breaks down by itself. If you cannot find something similar, just use any tape or plastic with a rubber band to secure it & make sure you cut it off when the graft has taken.
Having a firmly wrapped graft will just ensure there is greater cambian contact and a stronger graft union. Good luck.

Wrao the entire scion in stretchy glad -wrap type tape to prevent dehydration. The best stuff is called Parafilm and can be stolen from most laboratories . If unable to do this then go on line for retailers.
