This question has probably already been asked, but here goes anyway......
What methods can the backyard grower use to determine the ripeness of their Navel Oranges ? So-far I've only been using taste....
What's the normal harvest time for Navels grown in the colder parts of the south west slopes of NSW ?

Navels are ready when they come off easily in the hand. In very wet weather they will fall off the tree.

Thanks Julie, I've been picking a few lately, and yeah, you can tell the ones that come-off easily in the hand. Thanks for the response.
Cheers Kev
