SandyLou1 starts with ... I just wanted to show you a photo of the large size granny Smith apples, that have been growing on my tree, I bought from Daley's about 5 years or so back, it is in a large tub, has been fruiting for the last 3 years, average amount would be 24 to 26 apples per year. They are larger than the ones sold in supermarkets. Taste sweet, juicy and a little tart. I feed them seasol, plus granules and tea leaves/coffee grinds.

SandyLou1 says... hi there, I have my granny smith growing in a 2 foot high pottery tub, about 18 inches across, just put in good quality garden soil, seaweed from the beach, plus beach sand, and , it has grown up and out! I think it is about 3 feet high, with a width of 4 feet. I always put granules for fruit and seasol, at regular intervals, thru the non fruiting season, it has lovely pastel pink flowers, the bees buzz in and out of the blossoms!
