okinawa sweet potato

Hi. Has anyone had any luck growing okinawan sweet potato ? I would love to source some and wondered how they would grow in Perth?

They grow ok in NQ but the deeper purple fleshed types with purple skin are preferred if non beauregard varieties are considered.

White skin, slightly purplish flesh sweet potatoes are becoming more common in shops. The purple skin/flesh was also available at a few shops recently. I've seen both types at Farmer Jack's (marangaroo) and Golden Choice (Subiaco).
